Matthew has 28 years’ experience in the European property industry, specialising in finance, fund and debt structuring. He has established several business platforms, with notable success.
Matthew qualified as a Chartered Surveyor in 1991, with King Sturge & Co (now JLL). Graduating with an engineering degree from Kingston University in 1987, he attained an MBA from Henley Management College in 2000. Various roles at Arthur Andersen were followed by three years in investment banking and four years as a partner in a hedge fund investment management company. After the financial crisis of 2008/9, Matthew led complex real estate restructuring and turnaround mandates in various European markets, often inside broken banks. Approved for the conduct of regulated business by the FCA (formerly the FSA) since 2002, he has been a member of the Investment Property Forum since 2006.
